SETTINGS
There are quite a few settings in this book. Four of the main ones are Rory's school, her house, Sasha's house, and the set of Playing it Cool. Her school, as previously mentioned, is where the movie is being shot. Also, this is where all of Rory's friends and Rory see each other the most. Her house is where multiple events occur. One of them is when Rory makes a list of all the things she wants when she is 12, which proves her concentration. Another is when she gets to stay home alone for the first time, (and thinks that there is an intruder in the house) and this is where she gets into the most trouble. One last event that takes place here is Rory being called "boy Rory's, the other Rory that is at her school. In the last chapter of Finally, Rory is waiting for her mom to pick her up from a party, and Sasha, a girl who she previously met, sees her sitting on the grass in the front lawn. There, she invites Rory to wait at her house, which is down the street from the part that Rory was at. Grateful, Rory accepted. When she got there, Rory realized that she had helped all of her family members earlier on! A few quick thank yous went around before Rory noticed the significance of helping others. On the set of Playing it Cool, Rory gets used to talking with Jake Harrison, who everyone else is speechless around. They joke around about her many injuries that she endures throughout the novel. Although these events may seem insignificant, they play a major role in her daily life.
